What We Do

Open Bass Tournaments
The Maine Blade Runners, in cooperation with public and private sponsors, hold a series of open bass tournaments. Teams compete for prizes and points that culminate in a final three-day fish-off.

Youth and Benefit Tournaments
The Maine Blade Runners hold annual youth and benefit tournaments that support youth and special causes.

Conservation
The Maine Blade Runners' conservation mission is to promote the appreciation and conservation of our lakes, rivers, streams, and fisheries through examples and works. For future generations to enjoy.
2023 celebrates our 20th year of being an organized bass fishing club in the State of Maine.


2022 Season Review
With 15 teams starting out on Pocomoonshine Lake, then onto the second day to Hadley Lake. The top ten competed for the title and the $5300 purse that was given out throughout the three events.
Congratulations to this year's winner Gibson X 2. They put a monster bag together on the final day to capture this year's title. The bag was anchored with a Lunker 5.70 lbs largemouth with four more fish over four pounds to give them a 22.54 lbs bag and a first-place check of $2000. Plus Lunker of the day paid out another $300. You both had a great 2022 fish-off.

2022 Awards Banquet
On 4/15/23, The Maine Blade Runners held our annual fishing banquet at the Calais Motor Inn. All had a great time, with lots of laughs and a few fishing stories. We also celebrated our 20th year of being an organized bass fishing club in the State of Maine.
